Herd of 14 tuskers roaming nearby Bangoura range

N Have not entered interiors of Ch’garh border

Pandaria, Nov 22:

A herd of around 14 wild tuskers are wandering in the border areas of Chhattisgarh and MP for about a week or so. On Friday night the herd of tuskers were seen moving around Bangoura village near Taregaon range and on Friday herd of 8 tuskers was seen, whereas by Saturday the herd was that of 14 tuskers in Bangoura range. The herd of tuskers have so far not entered to inner areas of Ch’garh border and are just wandering in about 2-4 kms area. So far the tuskers have caused damage only to paddy crop in the region and no loss to any house or huts in the villages. Presently the herd of tusker is roaming in border areas of Mavai and Taregaon range.

Pandaria sub-div on alert:

With herd of wild tuskers wandering in nearby areas the Pandaria forest sub-division is on the alert. The employees are keeping track of their movement along with officers. Prior to this the tuskers have entered this region thrice and have stayed in about 3 km vicinity for about three days. They were departed after lots of efforts and in view of this the Forest dept of Pandaria sub-division is keeping on the alert.
