Fourty more ambulances to be operated in state

Raipur, Apr 15: As many as 40 more ambulances will be operated in the state to transport patients to the hospitals. These additional ambulances will be operated in remote and inaccessible areas of the state. The Health Department has directed the institutions which are currently operating 108-Sanjeevani Express ambulances in the state to start the services of 40 old operational ambulances procured by the government. Director of Health Services Neeraj Bansod has written a letter to the operators of joint organization operating ambulance services in the state and asked them to ensure the operation of these ambulances.
He wrote in the letter that for the operation of the ambulances, the institutions will be paid Rs 1 lakh 33 thousand 350 per ambulance per month. In order to provide ambulance facility in inaccessible and remote areas of the state, they have been attached with the district hospitals, civil hospitals, community health centers and primary health centers in remote areas.
