Govt’s priority is to benefit poor and provide basic amenities: Dr. Dahria

Raipur, Feb 28: State Urban Administration and Development and Labour Minister, Dr. Shivkumar Dahria dedicated Badminton Hall, Indoor Hall, sheds, pavers and additional rooms in Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Cultural Building, Municipal Council Gobaranawapara to public. He also performed bhumi poojan of treatment plant. Dr Dahria inaugurated and performed bhoomi pujan for development works worth about Rs 16 crore. During this, he said that under the leadership of the Chief Minister, the foundation of development is being laid in the state. I am very happy that the announcement made by me a year ago has been completed in Gobra Nawapara today. Certainly the people of the region will get the benefit of these works. Minister Dr. Dahria said that the players will get an opportunity to move forward with indoor and badminton halls. The sewerage treatment plant costing more than Rs 15 crore will ensure cleanliness.
He said that his department is alert for development work in urban areas. Every effort will be made to provide basic facilities to the people. Minister Dr. Dahria said that development works continued in the Corona period as well, as a result of this, recognition of the state’s schemes and many works done at the state level has increased at the national level. Chhattisgarh has been awarded by the Government of India for outstanding work in the areas of cleanliness, urban housing. He further said that the government is constantly supporting the urban bodies. Urban bodies should work towards increasing their revenue. Minister Dr. Dahria performed bhumi poojan of 15.48 crore sewerage treatment plant here and inaugurated indoor hall, badminton court, sheds, pavers costing Rs 1.20 crore and additional rooms of Rs 25 lakh. On the occasion, Vice-Chairman of Nagar Palika Parishad Chatur Jagat, CMO Rajendra Kumar Patre, Corporators, Alderman, Public Representative, Sportsmen and residents were present.
