CGBSE Class 12th exam begins

Raipur, Jun 01: Class 12th board examination under Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) began on Tuesday. Due to COVID pandemic the students are appearing examination this year from their homes. The CGBSE started distributing question papers and answer sheets to every student at their examination centres in accordance with the COVID protocol.
Students started coming to their respective school campuses with their admit cards at 10:30 am today. Distribution of question papers began at 11 am. They would be given question papers and answer sheets till June 5. They will have to submit their answer sheets in five days after receiving them. The process of submission of papers would be conducted from June 6 to June 10.
Principals and the teachers continued to distribute question papers and answer sheets to students while following COVID guidelines to prevent COVID infection. In Dani Girls Higher Secondary School of the capital the students were given answersheets with compliance of guidelines.
According to Dani Girls School Principal Vijay Khandelwal 12 counters have been set up in different class rooms for distribution of question papers and answer sheets in an effort to avoid crowd. Students are coming to their examination centres by wearing masks. The school is also taking receivings from the students to maintain records. In Raipur nearly 35000 students are appearing in Class 12th board examination. Around 283000 students are appearing the examination all over the state.
So far those taking open board examinations used to write answer sheets from their homes. But due to COVID pandemic Class 12th students have to appear in examinations from their homes. After writing answers the students will have to submit answer sheets by June 10.
Students infected with COVID will not have to go to their examination centres on their own; rather they can send their relatives or family members to centres. Family member or relative going to examination centres on behalf of a student will have to show admit card, photo copy of adhaar card and Covid positive certificate of the student.
