Pankaj Singh elected National President of IFA unopposed

Raipur, Aug 20: In the new general body meeting of Indian Fencing Association (IFA) the new office bearers of IFA were elected and in this General Secretary State Olympic Association Gurucharan Singh Hora acted as observer and elected Pankaj Singh as the National President IFA unopposed. It is notable here that Pankaj Singh is son of Union Minister Rajnath Singh.
In this election General Secretary Indian Olympic Association Rajeev Mehta was specially present and came to Raipur to take part in the meeting.
In this election, all the new office bearers of IFA were elected for period till 2025 unopposed. During this office bearers of COA extended greetings to Pankaj Singh
Olympian Bhavani Devi felicitated:
On this occasion Olympian Bhavani Devi was felicitated on behalf of IFA and COA. Fencing Olympian CA Bhavani Devi was hailed for her performance till date and wished by National President IFA Pankaj Singh to bring medal for India in the next national and international championships.
On this occasion IOA General Secretary Rajiv Mehta made a declaration to honour Bhavani Singh with cheque of Rs 10 lakhs.
The other office bearers of IFA elected are –four Vice Presidents- Bhupinder Singh Jassar (New Delhi); Ramashankar Prasad (Bihar); Satej Dnyandeo Patil (Maharashtra); Mrs Surekha (Haryana). Secretary General – IFA- Rajeev Mehta-Uttarakhand; four Joint Secretaries- Anagha S Sarlikar (Goa); Anil Arora (Punjab); Debendra Kumar Sahoo (Odisha) and Dr Uday P. Dongare (Maharashtra). Treasurer – Bashir Ahmed Khan (Chhattisgarh); nine Executive members were also appointed- Archit Anand; Bipul Kumar Sarma; Harpreet Singh; Mrs Hinaben T Shukla; Md. Javed Chowdhary; Ms Swati Bhojraj; Surjit Singh; V Nageshwar Rao; Youjin Pal.
