Raksha Bandhan celebrated with joy

Raipur, Aug 22: Markets in several parts of the capital Raipur witnessed hustle bustle on Sunday morning as people celebrated Raksha Bandhan-the festival of bond and faith between sisters and brothers with with joy and fervour. Adding bling to the festivity were decorated markets and customised gift hampers.
With administration lifting COVIS restrictions the markets remained opened and shops witnessed rush of customers. Women celebrated the occasion with their brothers by tying sacred thread ‘rakhi to them’ with much fanfare. Many people in the city chose to exchanged customised gifts, sweets, especially chocolates to add extra sweetness to the festivity. Several markets were flooded with various types of rakhis especially for those coming for last minute shopping.
