Sports give inspiration to move forward in life and discipline: Rajwade

Surajpur, Sept 01:
On the occasion of National Sports Day, a two-day sports competition and talent award ceremony was organized in Surajpur district. Parliamentary Secretary Parasnath Rajwade, who was present as the chief guest in the closing ceremony, felicitated the players and coaches of Surajpur district who performed well at national and international level besides the players who performed excellently in the competition.
In the ceremony, ‘Malkhamb’ participants from Narayanpur district won the hearts of the people by giving their best performance. While addressing the players, Chief Guest Mr Rajwade said that Major Dhyan Chand was such a player who brought India many gold medals by his performance in hockey, brought glory to India and made India a different identity in the whole world. Through sports, we get inspiration to move forward continuously in life and discipline, which stays with us throughout life. He said that this event has given an opportunity to showcase the talent of the children. There is no dearth of talented players here, only to get them the right platform.
In the ceremony, the talented players of ‘Malkhamb’, who came from Narayanpur, were felicitated by Rajwade for giving recognition to Chhattisgarh at the national and international level. Apart from the players of cluster level, block level and district level, players and coaches who have recognized Surajpur district at national and international level on the basis of their sports were also honored in the function. In the event, competitions of 100, 200, 400 meter running, high jump, long jump and other sports events were held in the girls category. On the other hand, competitions like 100, 200, 400 meter race and other local sports were organized in the boys category. District Panchayat, Vice President, Naresh Rajwade, Municipality President, K.K. Agrawal, District Panchayat member Ms. Shashi Singh, Mr. Kuldeep Bihari, Collector Mr. Gaurav Singh, Superintendent of Police Ms. Bhavna Gupta, District Panchayat CEO Mr. Rahul Dev, Additional Superintendent of Police Mr. Harish Rathore, SDM Mr. Ravi Singh, District CEO Mr. Sengar, all corporators and participants of various sports including alderman, dignitaries were present.
