Group Swaragini and Pratima bag first and second position

Birkoni, Oct 16: A one day dance fest cum competition was organized here in Navodaya and Nav Durga Pandal committees, in which the members of the committee first performed worship before Goddess Durga, and formally inaugurated the dance fest.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Amar Arun, and Nikhil Kant Sahu said that cultural events create religious faith in the village, and as a result of which mutual love, brotherhood, and goodwill develops and also, the participants get an opportunity to bring out their hidden talent.
He also said that by organizing dance competitions, religious atmosphere is created in the entire region and in today’s environment when the attention of the youth is shifting away from religious areas; the event is commendable at such a time. Deputy Sarpanch Representative Balram Patel, MLA Representative Chandan Chandrakar, Damodar Chandrakar, Prakash Chandrakar was also present.
Excellent presentations of cultural programs including dance, drama and other cultural programs made them aware of Chhattisgarhi and religious desh bhakti songs, whereas in solo dance, children gave a spectacular presentation of colorful programs.
Talented participants were honored by giving mementoes along with cash amount by the guests, in which first prize in group dance was bagged by Swaragini Ratanpur and second prize to Pratima dance group Janjgir Champa and third prize to Pooch Boy Group Raipur, Fourth prize went to Immortal Fort group Bhilai and fifth prize went to Jai Maa Sharda group Kachana. Mohan Sahu, Thaneshwar, Golu Sahu, Inku Patel, Ashish Chandrakar, Durgesh Nishad, Tukesh Patel, Dushyant Patel, Omkar Patel, Lokesh Sahu gave their commendable cooperation to make the program a success.
