Religious leaders to congregate in Chh’garh capital for prayer festival

A three-day Festival of Prayer is going to be held in the Chhattisgarh capital Raipur from October 17 to October 19 at St. Paul’s Cathedral, one of the largest churches in central India.

Providing the above information, the Media in-charge John Rajesh Paul said that CNI Synod Moderator B K Nayak, Bishop S K Nanda of Chhattisgarh Diocese, Mahadharma Gurus i.e. Bishops of 27 dioceses of the country will be prominently participating in the event. They will pray for world peace, progress of the country, and the state besides establishing peace, harmony, brotherhood and service to humanity.

The event will be organised under the aegis of Synod of the Church of North India. Chhattisgarh Diocese will be the host. Diocese Secretary Nitin Lawrence is co-ordinating the entire arrangement.

Diocese spokesperson John Rajesh Paul said that the presbyter in-charge and deacons of all the churches have also been entrusted with the responsibility for the festival. Management committees have been constituted for monitoring and supervising the arrangement.

All the officials including Synod Treasurer Subroto Gorai, along with bishops from each diocese will also participate. Along with the prayer festival, there will be prayers at individual and church level also. Prayer warriors are being appointed from each church under the guidance and direction of the Synod. They will pray every day based on the prayer point fixed at their place.
