State govt’s policies are providing strong foundation to rural development: Umesh Patel

Raipur, Nov 19: Higher Education Minister Umesh Patel has gifted development and construction works to many villages of Pusaur area of Raigarh district. Minister Patel inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development works costing Rs.76.55 lakh during the program organised in various villages in which 6 works constructed at a cost of Rs 49.10 lakh were inaugurated and foundation stone was laid for 3 works at a cost of Rs 27.45 lakh.
On this occasion, Minister Patel listened to the problems of the villagers and instructed the officials of the concerned department for quick solution on the spot. Higher Education Minister Patel reached Chhote Bhandar, Barpali, Kotmara and Amlipali villages of Pusaur block. During this, Minister Patel while addressing the villagers said that the policies of the State Government are providing a strong foundation for rural development. He further said that in order to encourage agriculture by the State Government, input assistance is being given for the cultivation of other crops along with paddy through Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana. Due to which farmers are getting better price for their produce. While increasing the number of forest produce, the main source of income in the forests, its support price has also been increased.
Minister Patel said that the State is progressing rapidly on the path of development due to several important schemes like reduction of electricity bill to half, increasing access to health facilities from Haat-Bazaar clinics to villages and Suposhan Abhiyan.
He said that the government is providing employment in the villages through local resources. Minister Patel said that Swami Atmanand English Medium Schools have been opened so that quality education can be made available in English medium, which after opening in the district headquarters has now been opened in the block headquarters. It will be expanded further. Similarly, through the Rajiv Gandhi Bhoomiheen Grameen Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana, the government is going to give an annual assistance amount of Rs. 6000 thousand to the landless labour families from this financial year. He further said that door-to-door tap connection is being extended to supply pure drinking water in the villages. On this occasion, Raigarh District Panchayat member Akash Mishra, President Janpad Panchayat Pusaur, Sushil Bhoi, Vice President Janpad Panchayat, Pusaur, Gopi Chaudhary, Sarpanch Gram Panchayat, Chhote Bhandar Mrs. Shatrupa Chauhan, Sarpanch Gram Panchayat Barpali, Mrs. Shashi Ghanshyam Singh Thakur, Sarpanch Gram Panchayat Kotmara, Amin Patel, public representatives and a large number of villagers were present.
