‘Naxal problem in tribal areas of Ch’garh serious’

Raipur, Aug 11:
Governor Anusuiya Uikey paid courtesy call on PM Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Wednesday. During this Governor handed over copy of booklet on ‘Creative Role of Governor during Corona Pandemic’. PM on this occasion took information about condition of rainfall and agriculture in Chhattisgarh. Governor also held talks on issues related to Naxalism in Chhattisgarh, Fifth Schedule, land acquisition for projects and other subjects.
Governor Anusuiya Uikey said that naxal problem in the tribal areas is serious and held the need to take firm steps to root out the Naxalism. She also urged PM to implement MESA law in the urban areas coming under the 5th Schedule area and added that with its implementation of MESA the tribals will get their constitutional rights.
Governor Anusuiya Uikey also held the need to find solution to problems being faced by tribals in sale of land.
Governor also urged inclusion of four districts of Eastern UP viz. Chandouli, Kushinagar, Sant Kabirnagar, Sant Ravidas into tribal districts. Governor also held talks with PM on making the land owner of private or government land being used for mining projects either as share holder or providing annual or monthly rental for the land use. Later Governor also handed over a memento to PM Narendra Modi.
