War Veterans flag off cycle rally

Raipur, Mar 14: Valiant Heroes of 1971 War from Chhattisgarh conjointly flagged off the Cycle Rally and Run organized by Chhattisgarh and Odisha Sub Area (COSA) of the Indian Army here at its Headquarters at Naya Raipur Military Station. The event was to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of 1971 war victory of Indian Armed Forces over Pakistan. The veterans were joined by members of the Armed Forces, Para Military Forces, NCC, Civil Dignitaries, Cycling Enthusiasts and Citizenry of Raipur.
The yearlong Golden Jubilee celebrations “Swarnim Vijay Varsh” were inaugurated by Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi by lighting the Swarnim Vijay Mashal from the eternal flame of National War Memorial, New Delhi on 16 December 2020.
The Cycle Rally and Run were part of the commemorative events being conducted pan India throughout the year.
The citizenry of Raipur appeared jubilant while interacting with their war heroes, who shared their first hand experience about the glorious victory.
