Over 1 cr people get both doses of COVID-19 vaccine in Ch’garh

Raipur, Dec 06: The number of people taking both doses of COVID-19 vaccine in Chhattisgarh has crossed one crore mark. To prevent corona infection, one crore 22 thousand 404 people have got both the doses in the state. This is 51% of the population of one crore 96 lakh 51 thousand eligible for vaccination in the state. To increase the speed of vaccination, corona vaccination is also being done in procurement centers after the beginning of procurement of paddy from farmers on support price from December 1.
So far (till December 5) two crore 79 lakh 93 thousand 381 first and second vaccine doses have been administered in the state for prevention of Coronavirus infection. The first vaccination has already been given to 91% of the population eligible for vaccination in the state. One crore 79 lakh 70 thousand 977 citizens of the state have got the first vaccine to prevent infection.

Ch’garh sees 25 new COVID-19 cases, no fatality

Raipur: Chhattisgarh’s COVID-19 tally rose to 10,06,967 on Sunday with the addition of 25 cases, a health official said. The death toll remained unchanged at 13,593 with no fresh COVID-19 fatality reported during the day. The number of recoveries in Chhattisgarh rose to 9,93,044 after five people were discharged from hospitals while 16 others completed their home isolation on Sunday, leaving the state with 330 active cases. Korba recorded six new cases while Janjgir-Champa recorded five cases and Raigarh saw four cases. Raipur and Durg districts reported two cases each. No fresh cases were reported in 17 districts,” he said. With 15,100 samples tested during the day, the number of coronavirus tests conducted so far in Chhattisgarh went up to 1,43,74,758.
