CS reviews Lok Seva Guarantee services

Raipur, Apr 08: Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain today reviewed the services being provided by various departments under Chhattisgarh Public Service Guarantee Act 2011. The Chief Secretary instructed the officers of all departments to resolve the cases notified under the services within the stipulated time frame. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel is continuously monitoring progress of the cases, the Chief Secretary said while addressing the review meeting through video conferencing. The Chief Secretary has instructed the officers of all departments to take action to notify more important services of their department in the Public Service Guarantee. For this, the Chief Secretary has instructed to send necessary information to the General Administration Department within a period of one month.
The Chief Secretary has instructed the officers to also collect information about the public service guarantee services being provided in the neighboring states of the state. He instructed the officers to make notified public guarantee services under the Act online so that people get benefits at the earliest. He also instructed to provide online and offline services easily. The Chief Secretary instructed the principal officers of all departments to continuously monitor the implementation and progress of the Lok Seva Guarantee Services of their department besides taking disciplinary action against the officials who did not take necessary step in the cases within stipulated time frame. Dr Kamalpreet Singh, Secretary, General Administration, Food and Transport Department informed that about 262 services are being provided by the 34 departments of the Government of Chhattisgarh under the Lok Seva Guarantee Act. The review meeting was attended by PCCF Rakesh Chaturvedi, Industry and Forest Department principal secretary Manoj Pingua, finance and urban administration department secretary Alarmel Mangai D, Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Development department secretary DD Singh, revenue department secretary Rita Shandilya, public works and public health engineering department secretary Dr Siddharth Komal Pardeshi and officers of energy, labout, social welfare, home, health, agricultre, panchayat rural development, housing and environment, planning and economic statistics, education, water resources and other departments.
