Two arrested for stealing ornaments from inside house

Raipur, Nov 27: Purani Basti police on Saturday succeeded in arresting both the thieves who had decamped with gold ornaments on September 25 last. Police have also succeeded in recovering the entire booty.
According to police, complainant Nira Kannauje of Kushalpur is a housewife. On September 25 she had polished her ornaments and kept for drying near a window. In the meantime two persons named Lalit Dhruv and Narendra Patel arrived at the house and sat with the complainant who soon got prepared tea for them. Few minutes later, the complainant went to the kitchen for cleaning the cups and when she returned, both accused Lalit and Narendra had gone and her ornaments were missing as well.
She then lodged a complaint with regards to the stealing in Purani Basti police station where an offence was registered under Section 380, 34 IPC both the named accused. Police immediately set into action against both the accused and entire booty worth Rs 70000 was recovered from them on Saturday.
