Modern School from Shalimar Bagh emerge overall champions

Modern Public School B Blk Shalimar Bagh won the Overall championship of the CBSE National Athletics Meet organized under the aegis of NH Goel World School in the Cluster 20 with 138 points. Similarly, Vijay Yadav from the host NH Goel School bagged 2nd Position in Javelin Throw, Under-19 Boys to win a Silver Medal in the three-day mega event.

Dev Kumar, from H S Public School was adjudged Best Athlete of the tournament whereas Manasa Devi S Senthil from Vellammal Bodhi Vellore, Kannampuzha from Sharjah Indian School Juwaiza, Nethra M Murugadas from Vellammal Vidyalaya Chennai, Baljeet from Adarsh Sen Sec School Madina and Poojashree from Vellammal Vidyalaya Chennai followed him in the performance.

In the category wise performance, Boys (Under-14) from Our Own High School AL Warqa Boys, Dubai were the leaders in the Cluster F6 with 14 Points whereas in Girls (Under-14) from P S B B School Pudupakkam Siruseri Kanchi Dt-TN, Cluster VI with 21 Points, Boys (Under-17) from Our Own High School AL Warqa Boys, Dubai, Cluster F6 with 26 Points, Girls (Under-17) from Chinmaya Vidyalaya Vaduthala, Cluster XI with 34 Points, Boys (Under-19) from Sri Krish International School Kovur Kanchi TN, Cluster VI with 33 Points and Girls (Under-19) from Modern Public School B BLK Shalimar Bagh Delhi, Cluster XX with 72 Points were the other outstanding performers.

The closing ceremony witnessed a song sung by the Teacher’s Choir and a solo dance performance by a little budding star Anushna Roy Chowdhury. A very motivational speech was delivered by our Chief Guest Himanshu Bharti, District Education officer Raipur. The winners were awarded with their medals and trophies.
