Two persons found with Swine flu, one reported critical

Raipur, Aug 01: With number of Corona virus cases coming to its low in the state and in capital city, the news about 2 cases of Swine flu coming up in Raipur district raised warning signals before Health Department. One of the patient is reported to be serious from H1N1 Swine flu virus and other is undergoing treatment at home.
It is after a long time that news about Swine flu cases have come to fore in the state. CHMO Dr Meera Baghel has confirmed the same and informed that a senior citizen of Tilda was reported ailing and it was suspected that he is suffering from Corona. But the corona test turned out to be negative. But it was with due suspicion, he was tested for Swine flu virus and the test turned out to be positive. This has created sensation in the health department. Dr Baghel informed that the treatment of this senior citizen is going on at Syush Hospital and he has been put on ventilator
The other patient is also from Raipur and since his health is okay, he is being offered treatment at home.
How the Swine flu spread:
CHMO Dr Meera Baghel informed that even after checking the history of both the patients it could not be known as to how they got infected with H1N1 Virus (Swine flu). The family members of both the patients were also examined for Swine flu, but all turned out to be negative, but still all the members are being adiministered Temi flu tablet from safety point-of-view, she added
Meanwhile the citizens have been asked to remain on alert and take all necessary precautions and it remains to be seen as to what all guidelines will be issued in this regard by the health department to avoid spread of this virus.
