Vigilance Awareness Week celebrations by PNB

Raipur, Oct 27: Vigilance Awareness Week Celebrations were organised by Punjab National Bank, Circle Office, Raipur on Tuesday, October 26. Vigilance awareness oath taking ceremony at Circle Office, Raipur was presided over by Circle Head Mr V Srinivas. The program started by paying floral tributes to the statues of Lala Lajpat Rai, the founder of Punjab National Bank and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Mr Srinivas administered the oath of high ideals, honesty, fairness, transparency and integrity in their work to all the staff members. He informed that the first Vigilance Awareness Week was celebrated for the first time in 1999 on October 31st, to commemorate the birthday of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He also informed that Vigilance Awareness Week would be observed from October 26, 2021 to November 01, 2021 in all the branch offices of Raipur Zone. The program started in all the branches with Vigilance Awareness Pledge. Mr V Srinivas also informed that the importance of vigilance in the bank and need for vigilance in banking business would be emphasized to the staff members by holding regular meetings throughout the week. He said that apart from these activities, vigilance awareness rally and customer contact grievance redressal programs would be organised in every rural/semi-urban branch. Residents will be administered Integrity Pledge.
