Accelerate the works of Jal Jeevan Mission with quality: Guru Rudrakumar

Raipur, Nov 15: Public Health Engineering Minister Guru Rudrakumar has instructed to complete the works of Jal Jeevan Mission expeditiously with quality, so that the supply of pure water to the people in the villages can be ensured. He has asked the officers to complete all the sanctioned works under single village, multi village and solar schemes within the time-limit.
In compliance of the above instructions of Minister Guru Rudra Kumar, the work of Jal Jeevan Mission has accelerated in all the districts of the state. It is being reviewed regularly at the district level. In this episode, Collector Bhim Singh took a meeting of the officials related to the District Water Sanitation Mission and reviewed the updated status of the progress of approved works under Jal Jeevan Mission in Raigarh district.
Collector Singh, while reviewing the progress and current status of the works approved by the Jal Jeevan Mission, instructed the officers to expeditiously complete the tender process of the approved schemes. Collector Singh reviewed the works related to installation of solar pumps by CREDA in the meeting. During the review, instructions were given to complete the work as per the work order issued for the works related to installation of solar pump and making tank. He directed to allot land for the reserve wire in village Bhaisgarhi for the construction of water purification plant and MBR under the Tamnar group water supply scheme. It is noteworthy that water will be brought up from Kelo Dam in the settlement on top of the hill located in Bhainsgarhi of Tamnar, where this reserve wire will be made to store the water. Collector Singh discussed the latest progress of Jal Jeevan Mission and approval of acceptance of tenders. Executive Engineer PHE informed that administrative approval has been given to 866 schemes including 319 of retrofitting scheme, 277 of single village scheme, 270 of solar scheme and tenders have been issued for 613 schemes.
Out of which work orders have been issued in 355 schemes and 169 works have been started, out of which 10,849 domestic tap connections have been provided till November 10. During the meeting, Collector Singh also reviewed the arrangement of running water through taps in Anganwadi, Schools, Health Center, Gram Panchayat Bhawan etc. He asked to complete the work of running water in primary health centers on priority. He gave instructions to make an independent source of water. Also asked to complete the work of running water in the remaining buildings of school, Anganwadi, Panchayat, Ashram-hostel. On this occasion CEO, District Panchayat Dr. Ravi Mittal, Joint Collector, Digesh Patel, District Education Officer, R.P. Aditya, Officers and employees of Public Health Engineering Department, Water Resources, CREDA and other related departments were present.
