Avail lockdown relaxations with caution: CM

Raipur, May 17: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has appealed to the people to continuously follow COVID appropriate behaviour. According to Baghel the second wave of COVID pandemic could be controlled with combined effort and now it is necessary to prepare for controlling third wave. The second wave of COVID pandemic caused huge economic loss besides costing several lives, he said.
We could succeed in bringing down the COVID infection rate from 30% to 9% with combined efforts; Baghel said and added that state government decided to give some relaxations from lockdown considering improvement in COVID situation. He said that relaxations were being given to mitigate problems of common people.
However, it is necessary for the people to be cautious during relaxations, he said and added that they should continue to wear masks, follow social distancing and sanitizing. According to him little negligence in following COVID prevention rules may worsen the situation which may lead to further economic loss.
The Chief Minister has appealed to the people to take vaccine dose for prevention of COVID infection when they get the opportunity. Those who received first dose of COVID vaccine must get second dose at the specified time schedule.
