Need to bring natural beauty, tourism of CG on world map: CM

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that Chhattisgarh is a state full of natural beauty, covered with forests, mountains and rivers. There are 44% forests, perennial rivers, dams, beautiful waterfalls, historical and mythological heritage.
It needs to be saved and put on the world map. Lord Ram has spent most of his time in exile in Chhattisgarh. The temple of Mata Kaushalya at Chandkhuri, the pond and the entire complex are being beautified. Sheorinarayan is being developed from the point of view of tourism.
The Chief Minister said that there are ruins of ancient Buddhist Viharas, Buddhist sculptures and buildings in ten square kilometers in Sirpur of Chhattisgarh. It needs to be developed from the point of view of tourism.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel was addressing the assuming the charge ceremony of the newly appointed Chairman of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board Atal Shrivastava, Vice President Mrs. Chitrarekha Sahu and members Naresh Thakur and Nikhil Dwivedi from the meeting room of the office of the Vidhan Sabha.
Congratulating the newly appointed office bearers of the tourism board, the Chief Minister further said that people want to know and understand about the lifestyle of the special backward tribes Pando, Baiga, Kamar, Abujmadia living in different areas of Chhattisgarh. For this we need to develop facilities for tourists in these areas. Referring to the famous Chitrakoot Water Falls, Kutumsar Cave, an ancient theater of five thousand years ago located in the Ramgarh hills of Surguja district, he said that Chhattisgarh is a very prosperous state from the point of view of tourism.
It is the responsibility of the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board to save and beautify the tourist places of the state as well as to develop facilities at these places for the tourists. With the development of tourism, employment will also increase in the state. He said that we need to work in a planned manner.
On this occasion, the newly appointed President of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, Atal Shrivastava said that Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has promoted folk art and culture in the state. The state of Chhattisgarh is a unique gift of nature. He appreciated the efforts of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel to bring tribal art and culture on the world stage and to develop Lord Shri Ram Van Gaman Path as a tourist destination and said that Chhattisgarh Tourism Board would work on the principle of ‘Atithi Devo Bhava’ The comfort and safety of the tourists will be our responsibility. Managing Director, Yashwant Kumar informed about the efforts being made to promote different types of tourism in Chhattisgarh.
