Global Investors meet 2022 to be held in Jan

Raipur, Sep 02: To encourage investment in Chhattisgarh, Global Investors Meet 2022 ‘Investgarh Chhattisgarh’ is being organized in the capital city Raipur in January 2022. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel will formally announce the event in a program to be organized at his residence office in Raipur on September 02. On the occasion, Chief Minister will also launch the logo and website of Investgarh-Chhattisgarh.
Under the supervision of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, The Department of Commerce & Industry, Government of Chhattisgarh will host the Global Investors Meet 2022 – ‘Investgarh Chhattisgarh’ in capital city Raipur. This mega event would bring several leading investment communities, global companies and business leaders from around the world to Chhattisgarh, providing an excellent opportunity to meet Central and State Government officials, local stakeholders, state and local economic development organizations, thought leaders, entrepreneurs, suppliers, distributers, business Innovators in the state. This would also help them explore the exciting benefits of investment, collaborations, partnerships and growth in Chhattisgarh, which in-turn would boost the development of the state and the people here through good-paying jobs, skilled workforce, entrepreneurial empowerment and empowerment of indigenous businesses to compete with International companies.
After the formation of the new government in Chhattisgarh in year 2018, a new industrial and economic environment has been created. The government led by Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has provided special packages and concessions to prioritize agriculture and forest based industries, while creating a conducive environment for investment by formulating a new industrial policy. In addition, the rules for establishment and operation of industries have also been simplified. In the year 2019-20 and 2020-21, 132 MoUs have been signed for the establishment of new industries in the state, in which a capital investment of 58 thousand 950 crores is proposed. This will provide employment to more than 78 thousand people. During this period, 1564 new industrial units have been established in the state, in which more than 30 thousand people have got employment.
During this summit, the benefits of investment, mutual cooperation, partnership and the possibilities of rapid business growth in Chhattisgarh will be discussed. Also, through the summit, possibilities of providing high-paying job opportunities for the residents of the state, hone their skills and grow businesses while competing with companies of international level will be explored.
