Promote Bio Gas Plant for use as fuel: Baghel

Raipur, Jul 03: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel reviewed cleanliness survey, Mukhyamantri Slum swaasthya yojna, Dai-Didi Clinic, Tanker Free City, Mission Amrit, Water Supply Project, Godhan Nyay Yojana, Pauni Pasari, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and other important schemes and infrastructure development works of Urban Administration Department, in a meeting held at his official residence here on Friday.
During the meeting, he directed to prepare Bio Gas Plants in urban areas to provide relief to the poor sections from the rising prices of LPG. Chief Minister Baghel instructed to select the area with more number of cattle numbers and dung procurement centers in urban areas and to make gas available in people’s homes with the construction of bio gas plant. He also instructed to use the used dung of Bio Gas Plant in the nearby gardens and fields.
On this occasion, Urban Administration and Development Department Minister Dr. Shiv Kumar Dahriya, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Subrat Sahoo, Secretary to Chief Minister Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi, Secretary Urban Development Department Alarmelmangai D, Joint Secretary R. Ekka and Chief Executive Officer of State Urban Development Agency Saumil Ranjan Choubey were present.
During the review of important schemes of Urban Administration and Development Department, Chief Minister directed to use vacant government land in urban areas for construction of Gauthan. He also directed to keep stray cattle in urban areas in Gauthans and use cow dung from cattle for vermi-compost manufacturing, vegetable and fodder production and other works. The Chief Minister also gave his suggestions for better management of Gauthans and making them self-reliant with increasing income there.
During the review of the schemes run under the Department of Urban Administration and Development, it was informed that Chhattisgarh has remained the cleanest state in the country for two consecutive years in the Cleanliness Survey. Under the Mukhyamantri Slum Swasthya Yojna, in the last seven months, about 11 thousand health camps have been organized, treatment of more than 5 lakh 67 thousand patients and free medicines have been distributed to 4 lakh 92 thousand patients. Similarly, women and adolescent girls are being treated by women doctors in Dai-Didi clinics by setting up camps in slum areas. It was informed during the meeting that in the coming time, treatment facilities will be expanded along with increasing the number of mobile medical units.
In compliance with the instructions given earlier by the Chief Minister, the Urban Administration Development Department informed that out of 169 bodies, 126 bodies have been made tanker free through the tanker free city campaign. The remaining bodies will also be tanker-free by March 2022. Chief Minister Baghel directed to work seriously in this direction. In the meeting, information was given about the implementation and progress of Mission Amrit Water Supply Scheme, STP under construction for revitalization of rivers, Pauni Pasari Yojana, housing scheme for all under Pradhan Mantri Awas, Godhan Nyay Yojana, Pauni Pasari, City Diagnostic Center Scheme, Chief Minister Mitan Yojana, Chief Minister Affordable Medicine Shop Scheme and works of infrastructure along with works being done in the direction of increasing the income of the urban bodies.
