CSWS to expand and speed-up its working from April: Nayak

Raipur, Mar 24: Chhattisgarh State Women’s Commission (CSWC) has completed 20 years of its formation and speaking on the occasion Chairperson CSWC Kiranmayi Nayak informed that from coming April the Commission would speed-up its working and expansion and added that ‘Mukhyamantri Mahatari Nyay Rath’ will be launched in every district.
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Chairperson CSWC Dr Kiranmayi Nayak informed that State Women’s Commission was formed on 24 March 2001 and on formation of Congress government in the state the number of solution to cases related to women have speeded-up. During this short-term period of her as Chairperson, the Commission has succeeded and was on top in the country in rendering justice to victimised women even during the lockdown period.
In this regard, Dr Nayak informed that the National Women’s Commission has hailed the working of CSWC and felicitated as well. The National Women’s Commission has also directed the Chairpersons of other state’s to follow on same footsteps as that of CSWC. On completion of 2 years of Congress government in the state, the Commission formed a special ‘Rangoli’ and extended greetings. On Dec 17, it also created a world record in which a 9100 sq. ft. massive ‘Rangoli’ was prepared and CM’s photo was constructed on 12×11 sq. ft. size as ‘largest Glue Rangoli Portrait’ and in this way this particular work of Commission got registered in Golden Book of World Records and its certificate was received by Commission today.
Speaking further Nayak informed that in the new FY starting April the Commission would speed-up and expand its working. In every district we plan to launch ‘Mukhyamantri Mahatari Nyay Rath’ and through which efforts will be made to provide solution to every problem or grievances of members of the fairer sex. Apart from this there are also plans for display of solution to problems of women, legal rights and others through audio-video clippings. Female advocates will be empanelled and they will be trained to find solution to grievances and problems of women in every district.
Chairperson CSWC Dr Kiranmayi Nayak informed that in order to stop harassment at work-place for women, be it in government, semi-government, private institutions or industries, an internal dispute samiti will be formed and strictly regulated and efforts will be made to form women’s police desk in all police stations in order to register cases of women in the state.
