School students, reps, officers take part in I-day run

Mahasamund, Aug 14: On occasion of 75th Independence Day on Sunday, the District Administration and Sports & Youth Welfare Department organised Independence Day run here on Saturday.
In this run, the school students, players associated with different sports association, sports lovers and government officers and employees, public representatives, noted citizens and media representatives took part. In front of Tehsil office, the students gave wonderful performance of Yoga and Jumba and Karate. Parliamentary Secretary and MLA Vinod Chandrakar, Collector Doman Singh flagged-off this Independence Day run from near Baronda Chowk, near Traffic Thana of District hq’s at 7:30 am. MLA Vinod Chandrakar, Collector Doman Singh, SP Divyang Patel, CEO District Panchayat Akash Chikara, Jt. Collector Sunil Chandravanshi, SDM Bhagwat Prasad Jaiswal, District Sports Officer MK Dhritlahre and around 300 citizens took part in the run. Adhering to Covid-19 guidelines and the participants were distributed sanitizer and masks before start of the run. Ayurvedic Department distributed ‘Kadha’ to all present.
