Proposal for additional coaching to the students of class 11th and 12th

Under the chairmanship of Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam, a meeting of the Board of Directors of Residential and Ashram Educational Institutions Committee was organised at Mantralaya Mahanadi. In the meeting, it was approved to send the proposal of additional coaching to the students of class 11th and 12th for competitive examination in the academic session 2021-22 to the Central Government. In Chhattisgarh, in the year 2021-22, the Central Government has approved four new Eklavya Model Residential Schools. Minister Dr. Tekam said that training to the principals and teachers of residential and ashrams operating in the state should be organised from time to time. He asked the officials to ensure the options for arranging the education of the children keeping in mind the present situation. In the meeting, Secretary Tribal and Scheduled Castes Department D.D. Singh, Commissioner Mrs. Shammi Abidi and members of the Board of Directors were present. It was informed in the meeting that in the academic session 2021-22, a proposal for permission to start coaching scheme for the students of class 11th and 12th for the preparation of engineering and medical entrance examination, according to the situation of online or offline schooling, would be sent to the centre.
Officials of the department said that 29 new Eklavya Model Residential Schools were approved by the Government of India in the year 2020-21 in the state, which have already started. Officials said that this scheme was started in the year 2005 with the approval of 8 Eklavya schools. Now at present 71 Eklavya schools have been started in 24 districts. In the year 2021-22, four new Eklavya Model Residential Schools have been approved by the Central Government in the state for village Dhengni and development block Farsbahar in development block Manora, development block Lailunga village in Raigarh district and village Lundra village Sahanpur in Surguja district. State level cell would be required for operation, monitoring, inspection, control of these schools and for sending the desired information from the center on time.
In the meeting of the Board of Directors, it was approved to relax the criteria of class 5th for admission in class 6th in the new academic session 2021-22. It was told in the meeting that due to Covid-19 in the academic session 2020-21, schools did not start. General promotion has been given to the students studying in class 5th. Due to which the mandatory requirement of securing 50% marks in class 5th has been relaxed. Admission to class 6th will be given on the basis of marks in the selection test. The selection test is scheduled to be held on July 15 at 12 noon. National Training Agency will recruit the vacant posts of Principal, Vice Principal, PGT and TGT teacher approved by the Government of India for Eklavya Model Residential School operated in Chhattisgarh. The last date to apply for the recruitment of posts is June 30.
