Three policemen to be given out of turn promotion on sports criteria

Raipur, Sept 08: Chhattisgarh police on Wednesday headed by DGP DM Awasthi conducted a selection panel meeting for recommending out of turn promotions to three policemen for their sporting excellence in respective sports.
According to information provided by Police Head Quarters (PHQ), the three policemen recommended for promotion are Rustam Sarang, the company commanded of 3rd battalion of CAF. Sarang, who has been recommended for a promotion to the rank of Gazetted Officer, has been an excellent volleyball player and had brought various laurels to the state and police department.
Similarly, Constable Manoj Thakur, presently posted in Rajnandgaon and Head Constable Deepesh Kumar Sinhg, presently posted in Raipur, have been recommended promotion for their respective excellence in the field of wushu and volleyball.
In other recommendations made by the selection panel for excelling policemen in their field of sports, Head Constable L Srinivas of STF Baghera, Head Constable Simon Anjum presently posted in Mahasamund and Head Constable Hitesh Kumar Sahu of 1st battalion of CAF have been recommended for cash reward of Rs 50000 each for their excellence in Karate & Wushu, Handball, Handball and Boxing respectively.
Similarly, Constable Vimla Bareth posted in Rajnandgaon, Constable Wasim Raza Qureshi posted in Kabirdham, Constable Amrica Usare posted in Balod, Constable Rita Choterai posted in Raipur and Constable Kavita Patel, also posted in Raipur, have been recommended for Rs 35000 each for their excellence respectively in field of Kabaddi, Wushu, Kabaddi, Kabaddi and Kabaddi.
