Yashwant Kumar took over as the MD of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board

Raipur, Jun 12: Yashwant Kumar, a 2007 batch officer of the Indian Administrative Service, took over as the Managing Director of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board. He took the meeting of the branch heads of the board and inquired about the various tourism activities conducted by the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board in the state. He took detailed information about the development works being implemented in the identified places under the ambitious Ram Van Gaman Tourism Circuit Project of the state government and instructed the officers to make special efforts to complete these works within the stipulated time-frame. He inquired about the works of Maa Bamleshwari Temple Dongargarh under various schemes of the Board, Tribal Tourism Circuit, Buddhist Circuit Sirpur, Prasad Yojna and instructed to speed up the construction pace of all these projects. He got acquainted with the officers and employees of the board and asked them to perform better work with team spirit. Yashwant Kumar said that keeping in mind the corona epidemic infection, at present, special efforts should be made to motivate tourists towards domestic tourism.
It is worth mentioning that Yashwant Kumar, an Indian Administrative Service officer with special interest in photography, tourism and adventure activities, has served as Collector of Narayanpur, Bijapur, Raigarh and Janjgir-Champa. While posting him as Director Agriculture, he has been given additional charge of Managing Director, Chhattisgarh Tourism Board and Sugarcane Commissioner.
