Ananya secures 2nd position in National Squash championship

Ananya Pandey of Raipur secured second position in the National Squash championship held at Bengaluru after losing final match in a close encounter to Samayara Raj Bhandare from Goa.

Ananya becomes the first woman player to qualify for the final in the national squash. Earlier, she had defeated Vaibhavi Balaji from Karnataka with the score of 11-6.11-3 and Shivvani Philips with the score of 13-11, 11-3 in the best of three quarter finals. She defeated Skandha Pakki from Karnataka in the semi-final with teh score of 11-6, 11-8, 11-4 but eventually lost to Samayra Raj Bhandare from Goa in the final with the score of 11-6, 11-8 and 11-4.
