Rekha Sonkar accorded warm welcome

Rajim, Nov 21: President Nagar Panchayat Rajim Rekha Raju Sonkar after receiving the President’s award for Swachchata (cleanliness) under ‘Swacchata Sarvekshan-2021) was accorded warm welcome on her arrival to Rajim city by the citizens and BJ party workers amidst showering of flower petals and busting of fire-crackers. There was literally lot of rush on this occasion and in the welcome many had to face tough situation. A meeting was organised at city’s Pt. Sunderlal Sharma Chowk and prior to this RR Sonkar first garlanded the statue.
On this occasion Kissan Morcha State President Sandeep Sharma said that they all have been constantly working to ensure cleanliness in city along with ‘safai mitra’ and it was result of which that Rekha Sonkar received the award at the hands of President of India and credit for this goes to all the denizens of Rajim city.
District Panchayat Rohit Sahu said taht with sacred city Rajim being presented award at the hands of the President of India is indeed a big honour for all and it has provided new identity to the city. For this Nagar Pachayat President Rajim Rekha Sonkar along with all the ward corporators and ‘safai mitra’ are worth the praise and credit.
District Panchayat member Chandrashekhar Sahu said that it is big honour for all in Rajim that this award has been presented for Rajim city and added that the rural people too will have to be aware of cleanliness. This was not just a day’s work, but for entire term that entire team of Nagar Panchayat and other departments were active to keep city neat & clean.
On this occasion other BJP leaders and public representatives also expressed their opinion and praised the working of all related to cleanliness.
It is otable here that Nagar Panchayat President Rajim Rekha Sonkar was presentedwith ward under ‘Amrut Mahotsav’ – Safai Mitra Challenge award -2021 at the hands of President of India Ramnath Kovind on Saturday in New Delhi and in this 46 urban bodies of state were included and from Nagar Panchayat Rajim from Gariyaband district was the only urban body from this region.
