Fake Prasar Bharati office busted in Lodhipara

Raipur, Mar 19: In a sensation revelation by Khamardih police on Friday, a fake Prasar Bharati office has been busted operating from Lodhipara’s Crystal Arcade.
Police have also arrested the prime accused and have seized large number of fake appointment/joining letters and several fake seals of Prasar Bharati and Government of India.
According to police, Khamardih police on Friday received a written complaint from Ganga Prasad Sharma, the Deputy Director of Akashwani Raipur. In the complaint, it was stated that several frauds are operating a fake Prasar Bharati office from an office situated on the third floor of Crystal Arcade in Lodhipara locality.
It was also complained that the frauds are not only giving fake appointment/joining letters to the innocent youths but are also blatantly using fake seals of Prasar Bharati and the Government of India.
Sensing the serious nature of the fraud, police immediately raided the particular office and arrested the prime accused Abhijeet Sharma along with seized large number of fake documents and seals.
Police have since sealed the office and took the accused to police station where he is now being interrogated further.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that the unsuspecting candidates were being given appointment/joining letters signed by one CS Mishra who claimed himself as Director (Raipur unit) of Prasar Bharati and Ankur Lahotty who claimed himself as Assistant Director (Raipur unit).
Police, meanwhile, have registered an offence under Section 420 IPC with regards to the incident and is now investigating the matter further.
