Silver jubilee of GGSM and music festival concludes

Hasaud, Oct 27: On the auspicious occasion of Sharad Purnima, the 25th annual festival of Guru Ghasidas Sangeet Mahavidyalaya,(GGSM) Hasaud, was celebrated with great pomp in a musical atmosphere.
After the worship of Guru Ghasidas Baba, Mata Saraswati and Gurudev Pandit MB Rokade, Saraswati Vandana and Guru Vandana Raga Yaman-Rupak and three talas were presented by the students of the Sangeet Vidyalaya. Praveen Tiwari Birra sang Bada Khayal-Chhota Khayal in Raga Yaman, Tarana and Mukesh Kashyap, Pawan Kashyap sang melodious renditions in Raag Shuddh Sarang.
Raag Bageshree by 6 year old child artist Divyansh Kashyap Khairagarh, and performances of Chhota Khayal and Tarana stunned the audience. Internationally renowned Tabla Nawaz Master Yashwant Vaishnav Mumbai presented solo instruments in three talas, in which the masters of different gharanas stunned the audience.He was accompanied by Kaustubh Bhagyawant Mumbai as a duet tabla player.
Dr. Diwakar Kashyap, Assistant Professor, Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya, Khairagarh, and Dr. Prabhakar Kashyap, both brothers presented their banarasi singing in Raag Bairagi in Man Sumiran Nisdin Tumro Naam Teentaal and in the second Bandish Tum Data Drut Ek Taal, which made the listeners feel the spiritual touch in the fete. Guests in this program were Ambika Rokade, Sarpanch representative Manbodh Sahu, Janata Congress Chhattisgarh (J) District President Kamal Bhargava, former Block Congress President Surendra Bhargava, Hem Charan Sahu, Virendra Tiwari, Geeta Ram Tiwari, Principal HL Bharti, SP Divedi, DR Manhar, Dr. Arvind Jagdev Dr. RK Diwakar, Parmanand Jangde, Amrit Sahu, Hariram Jaiswal and others.
