CHC, Dharsiwa, Govt HS School, Tekari will be named after Shaheed Yogendra Sharma: CM

Raipur, Aug 12: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel virtually attended the program organized on birth anniversary of Martyr Yogendra Sharma in Kharora Nagar Panchayat today, from his residence office. On this occasion, he announced that the Community Health Center of Dharsiwa and Government Higher Secondary School Tekari will be named after martyr Yogendra Sharma. On the occasion, Baghel said that the sacrifice and contribution of Martyr Yogendra Sharma can never be forgotten. His martyrdom will always be remembered. At the programme, Chief Minister released the book named “Naman Anchal Ke Shaheedo Ko” in memory of Martyr Yogendra Sharma.
At the onset, Baghel paid tribute to Shaheed Yogendra Sharma on his birth anniversary. Chief Minister extended his best wishes for the free health checkup camp and blood donation camp organized in Kharora Nagar Panchayat. On this occasion, wife of martyr Yogendra Sharma and MLA Dharsiwa Anita Yogendra Sharma, son Harshit Sharma were present at the Chief Minister’s residence, along with Vipin Tripathi, Bhola Tiwari. In Kharora Nagar Panchayat, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Mineral Development Corporation, Girish Devangan, Pramod Sharma, Mandal Das Gilhare, Subhash Mishra, councilors of Nagar Panchayat Kharora, aldermen and many dignitaries were present.
Chief Minister Baghel said in his address that Shaheed Yogendra Sharma was born on 12th August 1962 in Tekari Gram Panchayat of Dharsiwa block. Yogendra ji was an energetic and renowned public representative full of potential. He started with student-politics in Durga College. He was elected as the University Representative in 1985-86. He rendered invaluable service to the people of the area as a member of Janpad Panchayat and Jila Panchayat.
Chief Minister further said that Yogendraji served as a bridge between labourers and industrialists in Dharsiva area. He helped the students in getting admission in the college and solved their problems related to education. His dedication and service determined the direction of his politics. Later, from year 1995 to 2000, he remained active as a Janpad member unopposed. From year 2000 to 2005, he served as a member of the Jila Panchayat. He had won this election with a record number of votes.
Chief Minister said that in the Jheeram Valley attack on May 25, 2013, we had lost many of our senior leaders and militant workers. Yogendra Sharma was one of them. His thoughts and unfinished works are being carried forward by his wife Mrs. Anita Yogendra Sharma. She has been elected as MLA and now she is determined to make her husband’s memories everlasting by working with the same spirit of service and dedication. Chairman of Chhattisgarh Mineral Development Corporation, Mr. Girish Devangan also addressed the program.
