Talented Basketball player Priya joins SECR

Rajnandgaon, Apr 03: Talented player of Kanwakhera Basketball Ground and international Basketball player Priya Sharma has joined SECR under sports quota. There is no dearth of talent in this Kanwakhera Basketball Ground of Bhilwara, only requirement is actual training and opportunity.
Four years back Priya Sharma’s trainer Vijay Babel requested Basketball trainer from Jaipur Rajendra Mertia to request his diploma batchmate and international Basketball coach K Rajeshwar Rao to impart training to Priya Sharma. Accordingly, K Rajeshwar Rao and Mrs K Radha Rao accepted the request of Rajendra Mertia and brought Priya Sharma to DPS Rajnandgaon and started giving her training. Later she was sent to SAI Hostel for trials where she got selected. Staying there Priya won medals at different national events and even took part in international competition. Priya following the footsteps of K Rajeshwar Rao and Mrs K Radha Rao continued her training and finally got employment in sports quota. DPS Rajnandgaon and Yugantar Public School are the two venues where talented girls receive free training and also are offered free residential facility.
