Congress waives off loans of farmers while BJP favours industrialists: Baghel

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today targeted BJP, calling it a well-wisher of industrialists. Addressing an election gathering in Baloda Bazar he said that the Modi government at the Center waived off loans of more than Rs 14 lakh crore of industrialists while the Congress government waived off the loans of farmers. He alleged that BJP leaders were shocked by the announcement of loan waiver for farmers.

Reiterating his announcement of loan waiver,Baghel said that like last time, this time also loans of farmers will be waived off if Congress government was formed again. Elaborating on the announcement of loan waiver, he said that the loans taken by farmers from co-operative banks and commercial banks will be waived off after formation of the Congress government.

Baghel said that the Congress government worked to bring changes in the lives of the common people. He said that his government directly transferred Rs 1.75 lakh crore to the accounts of various beneficiaries in the last 5 years. BJP leaders should tell what they will do for the farmers, labourers, tribals and women of Chhattisgarh, he said.

17.50 lakh homeless people to get houses

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that the Congress government of Chhattisgarh released the first installment for construction of houses to about 7 lakh homeless people of the state. ‘When our government comes back, we will gradually provide financial assistance for housing to the remaining 10 lakh houseless families’, he said, adding that Congress government does whatever it says.
