Mobile app to monitor proposed large industrial units

Raipur, Feb 22: A mobile app which has been developed for monitoring proposed large industrial units in the state was launched by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel at his office in Chhattisgarh Assembly today. The mobile app has been designed by the Department of Commerce and Industries for early implementation of industrial projects worth thousands of crore in the state. Industry Minister Kawasi Lakhma was also present on the occasion.
The mobile app will help industrialists directly share information about pending applications for consent, registration, no objection from various departments and institutions at various stages of establishment of their units. Industry Department has nominated senior officers as relationship managers for every unit signing MoU. Relationship officers will help in quick execution of the applications of the units in various departments. This mobile app is also available on Android and Apple Play Store.
Capital investment of about Rs 42 thousand 500 crore has been proposed in MoUs signed by 104 industrial units with the state government. As many as 65000 people will get employment in these proposed industrial projects. Total 16 units have been proposed in MoUs for Bastar division-the most backward region of the state. As many as 40 units have also started action for establishment of industries. The 104 MoUs included 76 units in steel sector, 4 in pharmaceutical sector, 1 in bicycle manufacturing, 3 in defence sector and 2 units in electronic sector.
Investors have shown interest for setting up large industries in the steel and aluminum sector in the Surguja region of the state. It is clear that industrial activities in the most backward areas of Surguja and Bastar will increase in the days to come, generating a large number of direct and indirect employment opportunities on the local level. Apart from this, About 15 forest based units in the state will sign MoUs for capital investment of Rs 75 crore which will provide direct employment to more than 1000 persons.
CSIDC Managing Director Arun Prasad, Joint Secretary in Department of Commerce and Industries Anurag Pandey, other senior officials were present on the occasion. Also present were Director of Techmate Technology Private Limited Bhilai Manish Agrawal, Rupesh Sharma, Manoj Agrawal, Sumit Agrawal and Rambhagat Agrawal.
