VHP calls for Ch’garh Bandh today

In protest against Bemetara violence

Raipur, Apr 09: The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) has called for Chhattisgarh bandh on April 10 to protest against the killing of a youth in Biranpur village of Chhattisgarh’s Bemetara district during the violence that broke out between two communities following a brawl between two school children. Hindu society is deeply hurt and agitated by the Biranpur incident under Saja in Bemetara district, said Vishva Hindu Parishad and Sakal Hindu Samaj State Executive President Chandrashekhar Verma while talking to the reporters at the Vishwa Hindu Parishad office in Raipur.
He alleged that 50 families of a community were behind this incident. Legal action should be taken against all of them, he said. But the police have taken action against only 7-8 people just for show off, he said.
Vishwa Hindu Parishad demands a judicial inquiry into this entire incident and at the same time it demands strict action against the culprits, he said. VHP leader Chandrashekhar Verma targeted Bhupesh Government on the issue of Love Jihad. In the last 4-5 years, 7-8 girls of this area have been lured away from their homes and married by ‘jihadis’, he said, alleging that since the formation of the Congress government in Chhattisgarh, the terror of Muslim Jihadis is at its peak. Such incidents are being done in every district of Chhattisgarh in a planned manner to harass and scare Hindus, he added.
Vishwa Hindu Parishad is now preparing to stage road blockade in almost every important city of the state like Raipur, Bilaspur, Raigarh, Durg and Jagdalpur. People of Vishwa Hindu Parishad will come to the streets from 5 am on Monday. Shops will be closed and highways will be blocked.
Verma said that a request had also been made to the Chamber of Commerce for this. It has been requested to keep the public market shops closed everywhere in the state. Bharatiya Janata Party is also supporting this bandh, local leaders are also engaged in making the Chhattisgarh bandh successful at their level on Monday.
VHP leaders termed the incident as a well-planned conspiracy. Swami Rajeev Lochan claimed that the Sahu family was being threatened by a community living in the village. Alleging that Hindus are being targeted, he demanded President’s rule in this state.
