All people above 18 to be vaccinated against COVID

According to interim order of High Court, Antyodaya, BPL and APL card holders will be vaccinated in one third proportions

Raipur, May 07: The Chhattisgarh High Court in an interim order directed state government to carry out COVID vaccination of Antyoday, BPL and APL beneficiaries aged between 18 and 44 years in one third proportions.
Complying with this order the state government decided to set up separate vaccination centres in the districts for vaccination people of this age group.
The High Court had told state government on May 4 to set proportion for vaccination of Antyoday, BPL and APL beneficiaries in the age group of 18-44. Complying with this order the state government constituted a committee under the chairmanship of chief secretary.
Hearing the matter today the High Court observed that concern expressed by the state government towards the poor is justified. The court told the committee to present its recommendations on this matter at the earliest. Accordingly the matter will be heard further.
However, seeing the deadliest COVID pandemic and considering delay in recommendation of the committee the court directed to vaccinate Antyoday, BPL and APL beneficiaries in the age group of 18-44 against COVID in one third proportions.
In the centers designated for Antyodaya and BPL category, the beneficiaries will also have to show the ration card along with the ID / document, whereas in the designated center of APL category, any one identity card out of Aadhaar, PAN or other has to be shown. There will be no need to show ration card for this.
