Two mobile phone snatchers arrested

Raipur, Sept 9: Telibandha police on Thursday arrested two mobile phone snatchers and recovered from them nine nos. of costly mobile phones which they had snatched from various parts o f the city. Police also recovered from them a stolen Bajaj Pulsar bike.
According to police, Telibandha police on Thursday received information about two suspected teenagers who were roaming about Shym Nagar locality trying to sell two nos. of costly mobile phones. Following the information, a police team immediately set into action to trace them and soon the two were spotted moving on the bike. Seeing the police team cornering them, they tried to escape from the spot along with their bike. However, police team instantly gave them a chase and they overpowered soon.
Both the accused were then brought to the police station where they were identified as Babloo Soni and Subham Soni, residents of Bhatagaon BSUP Colony. They soon confessed of having snatched a total of nine nos. of mobile phones from various places all over the city. They also confessed of having lifted the Bajaj Pulsar bike which was used by them in all the snatching.
Following their confession, police booked them under Section 41(1)4 CrPC/379, 34 IPC for snatching the mobile phones and separately also booked then under Section 379, 34 IPC for lifting the bike.
