Tamil channel of Doordarshan will be upgraded in HD format soon: Dr. L Murugan
The Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Dr.L.Murugan on Sunday said that the Tamil channel of Doordarshan will be upgraded in HD format soon. The Minister who attended Prime Minister’s Mann Ki Baat program at DD Chennai, also reviewed the functioning of various wings of Doordarshan Kendra. He said, the aim is to provide quality programming in tune with the wishes of the local people. Ruling out fear of any job cuts, the Minister said that a conclave would be held after the budget presentation on February 15. Union Minister of Finance Nirmala Sitaraman, top industrialists and economic experts would participate in the Conference.
