Congress hail immediate stopping of construction works in Naya Raipur

Raipur, May 14: Congress on Thursday hailed the decision of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel to immediately stop the construction works of New Rajbhawan, CM House, and Circuit House in Naya Raipur and also to cancel the tender for the construction of new Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly building.
In a statement issued here, the Congress spokesperson Ghanshyam Raju Tiwari said that the decision reflects the priority of state government towards public and expressed confidence that Chhattisgarh would come out of the Covid 19 crisis with the active policy decision. He further added that Central Vista project worth Rs 20 thousand crore in New Delhi is not essential in the present scenario of the country. Instead of raising questions on the non essential Central Vista projects, the BJP leaders have been questioning the Bhupesh Baghel government over the constructions in Naya Raipur. He said that now BJP should reply what the Prime Minister Narendra Modi would do over the Central Vista project.
Meanwhile, the Congress MLA and Parliamentary Secretary Vikas Upadhayaya has written a letter to the BJP President JP Nadda informing about the decision of Chhattisgarh Government. He has also urged BJP Chief to urge Centre to spend the money of Rs 20000 crore of Central Vista project in New Delhi on the vaccination for people by cancelling the ambitious project of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
