Govt likely to introduce Supplementary Budget

Monsoon Session of Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly would be held from July 18 to 21.

Assembly Secretariat on Tuesday issued notification for the forthcoming session which states that the four-day session would be held from July 18. It further stated that the financial bills would be presented during the session apart from the other official works.

It is understood that it might be the last session of the current Legislative Assembly as the elections are likely to be held in the month of November.

During the Monsoon session, the state government would bring the first Supplementary Budget for the current fiscal which would aim to make budgetary provisions for the various public welfare programmes and schemes.

Meanwhile, the Leader of Opposition in Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Narayan Chandel said that the four-day session is very less as several issues are there to be raised during the Monsoon session and stated that minimum 10 days session should be held to give opportunity to the MLAs to raise the issues of their respective region.
