Suspended IPS officer GP Singh interrogated for 5 hours

Raipur, Sep 01: In a sudden change of instance on Wednesday, suspected IPS officer GP Singh on Wednesday appeared in the head quarters of EI=OW-ACB in Raipur where he was subjected to intense interrogation for five long hours. The interrogation commenced at 1:00 pm and was questioned by a DSP rank officer, an Inspector rank officer. GP Singh’s lawyer was also present all through the interrogation duration during which the suspended IPS officer refuted every single allegation made against him.
It should be recalled that EOW-ACB had registered several corruption charges against 1994 batch IPS officer GP Singh and his relatives alleging of having amassed disproportionate assets worth Rs 10 crore. Singh has also been charged for sedition in the interim. This was based on an abandoned diary which was found during one of raids.
