State govt has failed to maintain law & order situation: Harshita

Raipur, Feb 04: Former Chairperson o State Women’s Commission Harshita Pandey has held the gang rape incident with a school girl in Jashpur, triple murder and gang rape in Korba and incident of dragging a woman with her hairs in Surguja as highly shameful and came down heavily against the state government to handle law & order situation in the state.
Harshita Pandey said that the incidents of crimes against girls, women, children are on the rise and the Chhattisgarh government has been utter failure in controlling it. The members of fairer sex are living in fearful condition and feeling very much unsafe. Not only this, the State’s Women and Child Commission and other legal institutions are keeping mum on these issues.
Harshita Pandey has demanded has demanded the police department to immediately arrest 6 accused in gang rape incident with school girl in Jashpur. She also held the molestation case with a minor girl in front her father and sister as brutal and inhuman act and demanded strict action against the accused. In the same way Pandey has demanded strict action against the constable for dragging a woman with her hairs in Surguja district and demanded inquiry into the matter.
