Bajaj launches updated Dominar 400 tagged at Rs 2.16 lakh

Bajaj Auto on Monday said it has launched the updated version of its bike Dominar 400 priced at Rs 2.16 lakh (ex-showroom).
The bike now gets factory-fitted touring accessories and is tailor made for riders who prefer strong touring essentials. It comes with a 373.3cc engine, which generates 40 PS of power.
The Bajaj Dominar 400 continues to come with the 373 cc liquid-cooled engine with DOHC setup which churns out 40 hp and 35 Nm of peak power and torque respectively.
This engine is complemented by a slip and assist type 6-speed transmission for smooth gearshifts in hard acceleration and deceleration. The front features 43 mm USD forks and monoshock absorbers at the rear. Dominar comes with a dual-channel ABS with a 320 mm disc at the front and a 230 mm disc at the rear. It comes with 17-inch machine alloy wheels with 110 profile at the front and 150 at the rear. The current ex-showroom prices of the Bajaj Dominar 400 start at Rs 2.12 lakh.
Dominar 400 has been able to create a strong following for itself and has become the preferred choice for city riders and long-distance tourers, alike.
The additional accessories include a tall visor, handguard, pillion back-rest, and a luggage carrier. It also has a revised leg guard and saddle stays, as well as an engine bash plate with an integrated aluminium skid plate.
“Customers have pushed the bike into long distances and challenging geographies with aplomb, which inspired us to strengthen the sports tourer credentials in the new Dominar,” Bajaj Auto Head of Marketing Narayan Sundararaman said in a statement.
The twin-exhaust setup looks as stunning as before. The taillamps are neatly tucked beneath the split-seat set up with a little support for the pillion rider. There are two digital instrument displays for all sorts of information for the rider. There is also the incorporation of a USB slot.
