Selection trials for Civil Services Sports Competition from Sept 14-16
Raipur, Sep 12: The Sports and Youth Welfare Department in letters to government departments told the government officials and employees to participate in sports competitions. A state level team will be formed with selection of players among government officials and staff for All India Civil Services National Sports Competition 2020-21. A letter has been sent to the State Government in this regard by the Central Civil Services Cultural and Sports Board, New Delhi. The selection trials for formation of state team will be conducted from September 14 to 16 for All India Civil Services Sports Competition 2020-21.
Civil Services Sports Competition is organized every year for government officers-employees. The date, hosting of the national competition, etc. are also decided by the Central Civil Services Board. On this basis, selection trials of players are organized to send the state teams to competition.
According to the letter issued by the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare, selection trials for volleyball will be held on September 14 at Police Ground, Raipur for the National Civil Services Sports. Similarly, on September 14, selection trials will be conducted for Kabaddi at Kota Stadium, Raipur. Selection trials for Badminton will be conducted in Sapre School, Raipur on 14th and 15th September. On 15th and 16th September, selection trials for hockey will be conducted at the International Hockey Stadium, Raipur. For table tennis the selection trials will be held in Sapre School on September 15 while on September 16 the selection trials will be held for lawn tennis in Union Club Raipur. The trials would begin at 9 am.
According to the rules of the government, there is a provision of special leave for the the officers-employees participating in the trials. Traveling-daily allowance during this period will be payable from the office of the concerned officer-employee.
Teachers LB, whose merger has been done in the education department, will also be able to take part in selection trials. All the participants will have to be present with COVID-19 negative test reports. They will also have to follow the instructions of Central Civil Services Cultural and Sports Boards.
