Safety is not just priority, but our value: Arvind

Raipur, Mar 03: The unit Head of Machinery division of Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL) Arvind Tagai said that safety is not only our priority, but also value. For leading a healthy and happy life, the home and road safety too are part of JSPL’s policy and JSP apart from employees stands committed for safety of community.
Tagai was expressing his views at the inauguration of programmes organised under National Safety Week in JSPL here on Tuesday.
In a press release issued, Tagai said that the main objective of this programme is to stop incidents taking place in one’s life due to lack of safety and awareness and lack of attention as well and to create awareness among people about safety. Every year on March 4 National Safety Day is observed. It is extending this programme, JSPL will be organising variety of programmes from March 1 to 8. Under this the people mainly will be apprised about the prevention from industrial incidents and ways & means to avoid it. Tagai further said that under National Safety Week, we all honour and welcome the soldiers and jawans because of whom the country’s border are safe and it is dedicated to those martyr, who sacrificed their lives for country’s security. We also extend greetings to police and other security forces, because of which we all are living peaceful life. It is after formation of National Safety Council on March 4, 1966, the country is observing national safety day and paying attention to different aspects of life, JSPL is observing National Safety Week.
In this week, JSPL will be organising safety slogan writing, safety poster making competition, quiz, sanitation, zero damage management, ‘nukkad-natak’ and other such programmes. The ‘Nukkad-natak’ will be played on March 8 at JSPL premises in Heritage Park. All these programmes will be organised under monitoring of a committee formed under leadership of Mr Tagai. The committee comprises of Mukesh Tiwari, Sunil Gupa, Suryoday Dubey and Shailendra Kumar Prasad as its memebrs. The persons performing best will be presented with awards.
