Rs 63600 digitally siphoned from bank account

Raipur, Mar 22: In a strange instance of digital fraud reported in Saraswati Nagar police station, unidentified fraud have withdrawn Rs 63600 from the complainant’s bank account being operated at Tatibandh branch of Bank of Baroda without ever being sent any OTP for executing the particular withdrawal.
According to police, complainant Dakeshwar Singh of Kota near Ram Durbar holds a saving bank account in the Tatibandh branch of Bank of Baroda. On the night of March 12, the complainant suddenly received a SMS stating that Rs 63600 has been digitally withdrawn from his bank account whereas he has not done any digital payment of the amount at all. In fact, the complainant never received any OTP for executing the particular transaction and came to know about the withdrawal only upon receiving the withdrawal SMS.
The complainant then contacted his bank the next morning where it was simply told to him that the amount has been deducted from his bank account through a digital transaction. Not finding any help from the bank, Dakeshwar ultimately complained the matter in Saraswati Nagar police station where an offence has since been registered under Section 420 IPC against unidentified fraud and further investigation in now underway.
