Questions as to how the Governor can withhold the bill and for how long?

Raising questions over inordinate delay on signing of the Reservation Bill pending with the Governor, CM Bhupesh Baghel said that the rule of Rajbhavan should be closely reviewed. As to how long the Governor can withhold the Bill? Why the issue pertaining to public is being withheld? Due to this youth are facing problems in employment and recruitment, he added.
Speaking to media persons on occasion of birth anniversary of one of the founders of Constitution of India Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar, CM Baghel the very issue that a Bill can be withheld for indefinite period by Rajbhavan should be review. The Governor is unable to take decision pertaining to public interest and it is almost four months that the Reservation Bill is pending with Rajbhavan, the exams of students and their recruitment is still pending, CM added.
CM Baghel said that his Government has done its job on the reservation, but the Governor is not signing on the Bill passed in the Vidhan Sabha. CM Baghel charged that the Constitution is in danger and it is being amended and used as per convenience. If the Constitution is safe, then the country will also remain safe, otherwise we all will land in trouble. Abedkarji tried to bring changes in the society, through the Constitution, he added.
Commenting on the same, ex-CM Dr Raman Singh said that there is no such provision in the Constitution and whether any discussions will be held on it, in the near future or any decision be taken, is a different issue.
