Rate of Covid infection in Ch’garh falls further to 1.29%

Raipur, Jun 18: Due to the effective measures taken by the Chhattisgarh government to control and prevent corona infection, the situation in the state is continuously improving. Right now the rate of infection in the state has come down to just 1.29 percent.
At the same time, the recovery rate has now increased to 98 percent. In the state, 74.34 lakh vaccines have been administered so far (till June 17) including the first and second doses of vaccine against corona. At present, the number of available vaccines are, 19.43 lakh for citizens above 45 years and 1.79 lakh for the age group of 18 to 44 years in the state.
In 25 districts of the state, the infection rate is currently between 0.28 percent to 2.89 percent. Only the infection rates of 3.03 percent in Korba, 3.46 percent in Gariaband and 4.59 percent in Bijapur are higher than other districts. The deaths due to corona have also come down significantly.
In the state, 74.34 lakh vaccines have been administered so far (till June 17) including the first and second doses of vaccine against corona. Including health workers, frontline workers, people above 45 years and those in the age group of 18 to 44 years, 62.31 lakh people have been given the first dose and 12.03 lakh citizens have been given the second dose.
The state has received a total of 83.28 lakh vaccines from the central government for health workers, frontline workers and citizens above 45 years. So far 12.51 lakh vaccines have been supplied by the vaccine manufacturing companies for the age group of 18 to 44 years on the demand of the state government.
At present, 19.43 lakh vaccines are available for citizens above 45 years and 1.79 lakh for the age group of 18 to 44 years in the state.
